Christina Meacham has worked in the voluntary sector for almost 30 years, and in mental health and related fields for most of this time. She set up an innovative flexible befriending scheme in Westminster Mind, worked as fundraiser for Tower Hamlets Mind, and CEO in Hammersmith and Fulham Mind. Christina has also led a national stroke charity and a national drugs and alcohol charity. She has been a Practice Teaching Assessor for social work students (BA and MA level). Along the way she has acquired a BA(Hons) in Psychology, a Counselling Diploma, a Postgraduate Diploma in Innovations in Mental Health, an MSc in Social Policy, and an MBA. In her spare time, Christina – who originally trained as a classical musician – enjoys studying string quartets and playing with orchestras.

Chand Payne

Eclipse Service Manager

Chand is qualified with a BA degree in Sociology. She has a Higher Diploma in Humanistic Counselling as well as an NVQ3 in Community Mental Health. Chand has a business background of 15 years and a diploma in retail management and distributive trades. Chand has completed a course in Leadership and Management training skills with Skills for Care & CSCI. She has train the trainer qualifications in Mental Health First Aid, Befriending & Mentoring training. She has a Practice Teacher/Assessor for social work students (BA and MA level) Award from London South Bank University.

Chand has been working with Mind in Barnet since 2000. She worked as an administrator and joined the Befriending Service as a worker and then as a manager for 1 year. Since November 2008 Chand has been working as the Eclipse Service Manager.

Kim Spicer

Counselling Service Manager

Kim initially trained and qualified as a RGN. She has an MSc in Psychodynamic Counselling from Birkbeck College and a MA in Organisational Studies from the Tavistock/UEL. She is a UKCP registered psychoanalytic psychotherapist. Kim has worked as a student counsellor in higher education and as a staff counsellor in the NHS.  She has been the manager of the Counselling Service at Mind since 2002.
